🌱 PREPARE THE SOIL
Use loose, fertile and well-draining soil. Choose a sunny garden bed, pot or container with enough space for the grapevine to grow.
❄️ COLD STRATIFICATION
Before planting, the grape seeds need cold stratification. Place the seeds in a moist growing medium and keep them in a refrigerator at around 6°C for 60–90 days to help break dormancy.
🍇 SOW THE SEEDS
After cold treatment, plant the seeds in moist, well-draining soil and cover them lightly. Keep the soil moist but avoid waterlogging.
💧 WATER REGULARLY
Water gently and regularly to maintain moderate moisture. Avoid overwatering, as excessive moisture can cause the seeds or young roots to rot.
☀️ PROVIDE SUNLIGHT
Place the seedlings in a warm location with around 6–8 hours of sunlight daily to support healthy growth.
🌿 CARE & SUPPORT
Keep the growing area free from weeds and provide a suitable stake or trellis as the grapevine develops.
🍇 HARVEST
Grapevines grown from seeds may take around 2–4 years to produce fruit. With proper care and patience, you can eventually enjoy grapes grown from your own seeds.
